Wedding dresses can be historical reproductions, based on period styles, or original designs like this one pictured.  Let me work with you to create the perfect dress for your wedding day.

This dress was an original design loosely based on a summer dress that the bride already owned.  The fabric for the dress came from the bride's sister's wedding dress.

Made from ivory silk dupioni, it has blue lace edging and straps, and a small train.

This bride had already bought her dress, but needed some size alterations.  She also wanted to be able to swing dance in the evening, and would not be be able to with the large skirt and train that her dress had.

For her, I detached the dress from the bodice and made a new waistband for the skirt, to keep the look of the gown the same, but make it possible for her to remove the skirt.  I also altered the size of the bodice and reconstructed the bodice beading where the alteration took place.  Then, I made a knee-length full silk skirt for her to wear with the original gown bodice for dancing at the reception.
