When you decide to place a custom order, and have accepted a quotation, a non-refundable deposit of half the total amount will be required to begin production. The final balance will be due once you have received the garment.  There is no obligation involved in emailing me or getting a quotation.

Corsets can be ordered using the Order Form, or by emailing me directly.  I will send an invoice once the details of the order have been confirmed.   I prefer using Paypal, and can accept credit cards via Paypal.

Costumes and custom corsets are made to your measurements.  A muslin mock-up of the corsets and fitted bodices will be made and mailed to you (with instructions on how to fit and mark any alterations and pre-paid return postage).  The final garment will be made based on the muslin fit.  This is included in the price quoted.

If you are in the Chicago area I will do personal fittings free of charge if you come to me, or for a $15-25 fee if I come to you (depending on location).

If you would like to order or just want more information, please send an email to info@hourglasscostumes.com.

All my work is personally custom-made and can take quite a long time to complete.  Corsets take about 6 weeks from start to finish, and full costumes can take much longer.  It may be possible for me to accommodate tight deadlines so please do email and ask if you have a particular deadline.  I will always give a time estimate before starting work or accepting any payment.  As I make everything myself I can only take on a certain amount of work, so it is best to make your enquiry as far in advance as possible.

Any other questions?  Send me an email at info@hourglasscostumes.com.

Have a look at some of the websites on my links page.  Between them you will find both pictures and descriptions of period clothing and photos of actual examples of historic dress.  Find an outfit or corset you love to reproduce, or something to adapt to your own taste.
