Costumes are made entirely to your measurements and specifications. They can be commissioned as whole costumes or part of a costume. If you wish to use an existing pattern I can make it from that or I can draft a pattern for you. I aim to be as historically accurate as possible with construction methods and the final look of the costume. Most historic costumes are going to need foundation garments to have the correct look. Please see my corsets page for details of period correct corsets and email me for a quote for other foundation garments such as bustles and petticoats. I specialize in Victorian costumes, but I will consider any costume commission from any time period. Period costumes and historical styles can be adapted to make beautiful and unusual wedding gowns. Please email info@hourglasscostumes.com for quotations or design ideas. Click on the examples below for more details and pictures For additonal examples of my work, please see the Gallery |
